Welcome to the Bagà Tours Mini Escape Room. You will have to solve 5 hidden enigmas through the streets of our old town to help the last Cathar escape.

Enigma 1
The escape
The Cathar said:
“The ancients said that the path to salvation is marked by a symbol of life and light, it is on the ground between the stones and the leaves”
What is this symbol?
CORRECT!
“Although the most recognized symbol of the Pinós family was the pine cone, which refers to the name of their lineage. The fleur-de-lis was also part of their heraldry, being a very common symbol among the noble families of medieval Catalonia.”

The Cathar said:
“I was told that around the Palace there is the figure of a man playing an instrument to warn the people”
Who is this man?
CORRECT!
“A bailiff was a public official, mainly in charge of enforcing the orders of mayors, judges, or municipal councils.” This house is also attributed to having been the residence of Pere Tomic, a 15th-century historian from Bagà famous for popularizing the legend of the Rescue of the Hundred Maidens.

CORRECT!
“Years ago in Bagà a contest was organized to reward the best facades in the municipality. If you look closely you can see many of these plaques on some of the most beautiful facades in Bagà“

Bagà
The Cathar said:
“In the chapel next to the Palace there is an old date…”
What is this date?
CORRECT!
“This small chapel was used since the times of the Pinós family as a place of worship for the various inhabitants of the Palace. However, before the construction of the church of Sant Esteve, it was also used by the whole town of Bagà. This date refers to the year of its last restoration.“
